Yesika Cancel

Where you’re from:
Born in Puerto Rico, raised in the U.S. (Army brat)

What was your favorite game growing up?
I can be very competitive, so my favorite games were Checkers and Connect Four.

I would probably have my own business–something in the line of a fashion boutiqe or freelance makeup artist.

Guy Gerrard

We don't get in trouble for sharing our faith.

Anne Marie Winz

Writer

Where you’re from:
I'm from Malvern, Pa, a suburb of Philadelphia.

What is your favorite book, and why?
One of my favorite books is Nory Ryan's Song by Patricia Reilly Giff because it tells the story of an Irish family that emigrated to the United States during the Potato Famine in the mid 1800s. That's my family's story, too.

Torance, California

How long you've worked for Campus Crusade for Christ:
34 years, all as a photographer for Worldwide Challenge

Writer

Where you’re from:
I was born and raised in East Tennessee, but moved to Celebration, FL in 2005.

What is your favorite book, and why?
My favorite book is Kathryn Stockett’s novel, “The Help.” Instead of simply telling the story, Stockett places the reader inside the story subject’s shoes through her use of detail, imagery and clarity. Stockett received 60 rejection letters over three and a half years in pursuit of publishing “The Help.” And yet, she never gave up. Stockett showed me what it is like to be a fearless writer and to take risks.

I was a beekeeper. I took fencing lessons from Chinese Olympic fencers.

What is your favorite movie… and why?
Sound of Music, because it makes me feel good, I get to sing along, the main characters in it do not compromise their beliefs, and they stay true to their selves and escape oppression in the end.

Greg Johnson

Director of Operations

Where you’re from:
Michigan

What was your favorite game growing up?
Kick the can.

What is your favorite book, and why?
The Testament by John Grisham is a great story that holds my interest. But more importantly, I like that a missionary to Brazil is involved and that Grisham weaves the gospel and her testimony in as Nate, a lawyer in and out of rehab travels the jungles to find her. It hints at a happy but not idyllic ending.

You're driving down an empty highway in the middle of nowhere with the windows down, what music are you listening to?
If I want to be in worship, I'd listen to Hillsong United. If I want to be mellow, I'd listen to Norah Jones. If I want to stay awake, I'd listen to Dave Matthews Band.

80’s pop, which I’m likely singing at the top of my lungs, or I’m listening to swing/Big Band music, with my hand beating out the drumline on the steering wheel.

Rich Wiewiora

Copy Coordinator and Copy Editor

Where you’re from:
I grew up in Chicago. (I was born in England.)
