Klementina Sharka had a tendency to interrupt the person she was talking to instead of listening first. This made it difficult to build good relationships as well as effectively help others know Christ, something the Albanian college student desperately wanted to do.
Then last summer, during a two-week discipleship camp, she learned about her tendency to interrupt and how to overcome it. Berti Berhami and his wife, Adelina, who lead Campus Crusade for Christ’s college ministry in Albania, had a vision to help students grow in character as well as their faith. They offered morning Bible study, personal development, and mentoring by staff members, then talked with people about Christ in the afternoons.
The next time Klementina caught herself interrupting someone, she held back. “I stopped and listened, and there was no better experience.”
