More Than Marriage

On a brisk Friday evening, 332 men and women gathered for a Weekend To Remember®, the fountain outside their conference hotel still locked in ice.

This three-day getaway for couples was just one of 125 hosted in 2012 by FamilyLife, a ministry of Cru.

These conferences are for couples in any stage of their relationships; they help build healthy marriages by providing encouragement and practical tools based on biblical research.

"We present the gospel," said John Stoked, a planner and producer for Weekend To Remember. "I've done probably 50 or 60 of these events. I don't think I've ever had a conference in all of those where someone has not made a decision for Christ."

Though many people attending this conference in Newport were already Christians, 27 people indicated first-time decisions to follow Christ.
